One Injured in a DUI Collision in Hopkins County

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Kimberly Sullivan, age 23 of Dawson Springs, KY, was operating a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix southbound on Peter Howton Road when she met another vehicle at a hill crest. Ms. Sullivan's passenger side tires dropped off the right shoulder of the roadway. She overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle exited the roadway and overturned. Ms. Sullivan, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle. She was transported by ambulance to the Regional Medical Center for treatment. Ms. Sullivan was cited to court due to her injuries. She was cited for the following offenses:

1. DUI 1st Offense
2. No Insurance 1st Offense
3. Operator's License to be in Possession
4. Expired Registration
5. Expired Registration Receipt

Trooper Nick Rice investigated the crash that occurred on July 25, 2010 at 5:50 p.m. The Charleston Fire/Rescue Department, Dawson Springs Rescue, and Medical Center Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
