Felony Arrest in Muhlenberg County

Date of News Release: 07/16/2010

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- On Friday, July 16, 2010 at approximately 10:00 a.m., officers from the Kentucky State Police stopped Troy M. Tatum, age 45 of Drakesboro, KY, for riding a 4-wheeler on Riverside Church Road. Through further investigation, it was discovered that the 4-wheeler Mr. Tatum was operating was reported stolen from Daviess County, KY. Mr. Tatum had in his possession Morphine and Xanax. Officers also recovered a utility trailer that was reported stolen from Daviess County, KY at Mr. Tatum's residence. Troy Tatum was arrested without incident and charged with the following offenses:

1. Receiving Stolen Property Over $500 Less Than $10,000 (2 counts)
2. Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense
3. Possession Controlled Substance 3rd Degree 1st Offense
4. DUI 4th Offense

He was lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
