Three Injured in a Two Vehicle Collision on US 62

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Harold Cobb, age 44 of Graham, KY, was operating a 2008 Ford F-350 eastbound on US 62 approaching the intersection of US 62 and KY 189. Polly Morris, age 38 of Greenville, KY, was operating a 2009 Toyota Venza southbound on KY 189 approaching the intersection. As Mr. Cobb was driving, he glanced at his ringing phone. When he looked back, the light had changed; however, his vehicle was already in the intersection. Ms. Morris was proceeding through the intersection and was unable to avoid him. The two vehicles collided at the intersection. Ms. Morris and her two passengers, Bailey Morris age 17 and Kennedy Morris age 9 both of Greenville, KY, were transported by ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mr. Cobb reported no injuries at the scene. All subjects involved were using restraints. Trooper Jerrod Hearld investigated the crash that occurred on July 16, 2010 at 11:15 a.m. The Greenville Volunteer Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
