One Injured in a Single Vehicle Collision on KY 181

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Genieva Gray, age 17 of Central City, KY, was operating a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier southbound on KY 181 near the Wendell H. Ford Training Center. Ms. Gray stated she glanced down to adjust her air conditioner and exited the roadway. She attempted to regain control, but overcorrected. The vehicle exited the roadway and struck a fence pole. Ms. Gray was transported by ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. She was wearing a seat belt. Trooper Jay Cottrell investigated the crash that occurred on July 15, 2010 at 5:20 p.m. The Greenville Volunteer Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
