News Release

Felony Drug Arrest in Muhlenberg County

Date of News Release: 07/15/2010

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- On July 14, 2010, Trooper Jerry Knight was dispatched to a residence on Jacksontown Road in Drakesboro in reference to a domestic violence complaint. Trooper Knight arrested Jerry Boggess, age 48 of Drakesboro, KY, for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Linda Harper. While investigating the domestic complaint, officers obtained consent to search the residence. Upon searching the residence, officers located drug paraphernalia, a prescription container with several different types of pills inside it, and several packages of pseudoephedrine. Ms. Harper, age 48 of Drakesboro, KY, was also arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Meth Precursor, Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense. Mr. Boggess was charged with Assault 4th Degree (Domestic Violence-No Visible Injury). Both were lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center. The Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Department, Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force and Constable Troy Gibson assisted Trooper Knight at the scene.
