Death Investigation in Webster County

Date of News Release: 07/10/2010

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- On July 10th at approximately 0123 hours KSP Post 2 received a call of a shooting in the Clay community of Webster County. When detectives arrived they found Sara Nale deceased on the front porch at 300 L&N Railroad Bed Road of what appeared to be a single gunshot wound to the neck. Ms. Nale had been on the porch with friends looking at a firearm when one of the friends accidentally discharged the weapon and struck Ms. Nale. Ms. Nale was pronounced dead by Webster County Deputy Coroner Todd Vanover. Investigation is being conducted by Det. Dan Morck. No foul play is suspected but the investigation is on going. An autopsy is scheduled in Louisville at 1030 hours.
