Two Vehicle Injury Collision in Muhlenberg County

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Thomas Costanzo, age 47 of Dunmor, KY, was operating a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer northbound on US 431 in the limits of Dunmor. Toby Joines, age 36 of Belton, KY, was operating a 1993 Buick southbound on US 431 in the limits of Dunmor. Mr. Costanzo was attempting to make a left turn. He failed to yield the right of way and turned into the path of Mr. Joines’ vehicle. The two vehicles collided. Mr. Costanzo was not injured. Mr. Joines was transported by a private vehicle to Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. One of his passengers, Brooksie Steinman, age 60 of De leon Springs, FL, was transported by ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. His other passenger, Dori Steinman, age 31 of Rochelle, NY, was not injured. All occupants were wearing seat belts. Trooper Jerry Knight investigated the crash that occurred on July 7, 2010 at 12:25 p.m. The Dunmor Volunteer Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
