Felony Drug Arrest in Muhlenberg County

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Trooper Brandon McPherson observed a Red Chevy Silverado traveling at a high rate of speed on US 62 West. As Trooper McPherson caught up to the vehicle, he observed on his radar that the vehicle was traveling 108 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone. The vehicle was also crossing the center line into the opposite lane of travel around curves in order to negotiate the curves at a high rate a speed. Trooper McPherson conducted a traffic stop and subsequently arrested the driver, Weston Arnett. Upon search of Mr. Arnett's person, Trooper McPherson located 2 small bags of suspected methamphetamine in his pocket. Mr. Arnett was lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
