One Injured in a Single Vehicle Collision on KY 70

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Timothy S. Cooke, age 17 of Drakesboro, KY, was operating a 1998 Dodge Ram eastbound on KY 70 when his vehicle exited the right shoulder of the roadway and entered a ditch. The vehicle struck a tree stump before coming to rest off the roadway. Mr. Cooke was transported by ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. He was wearing a seat belt. Trooper Jerry Knight investigated the crash that occurred on June 21, 2010 at 6:15 p.m. The Beechmont Volunteer Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
