February Activity Report From Post 1

(Hickory, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police Post One Activity Report for the month of February is as follows:

Criminal Cases opened     76
Criminal Arrest     190
Citations Written     1571
  Speed 521  
  Seatbelt 196  
  Child Restraint 24  
Collisions Investigated     70
Fatalities (investigated by KSP)     0
Calls for Service     587
DUI Arrest     31

Post One Mayfield covers the 11 counties of Ballard, Calloway, Carlisle, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Livingston, Lyon, Marshall, McCracken and Trigg. For the month of February, there were 7 people killed in fatal collisions in the Post One area. Of those who died, one was not wearing a seatbelt. For the same period in 2009 there were five people killed in fatal collisions in the Post One area. State wide for 2010, there have been 92 people killed compared to 117 in 2009.
