Bardwell Man Arrested on Drug and Other Charges

(Bardwell, Ky.) -- A Carlisle County man was arrested at his home this morning after a Kentucky State Police investigation. Frank Mathis, 52 of Bardwell, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and wanton endangerment 1st degree. The charges stemmed from a vehicle collision which occurred on December 30th of last year. Troopers found evidence of illegal drug possession while conducting the collision investigation which injured Mathis and one other. Mathis was charged with DUI on the day of the collision. Sgt. Joey Adams obtained an arrest warrant for Mr. Mathis who was located and arrested just before noon today. Mathis was lodged in the Hickman County Detention Center. The investigation is continuing by Sgt. Joey Adams and Trooper Michael Cook with the Kentucky State Police.
