One Injured in a Single Vehicle Collision

Date of News Release: 01/28/2010

(Hickory, KY) -- Mr. Randall H. Bailey was traveling westbound on Canton Road when he failed to negotiate a curve. Mr. Bailey's vehicle left the north side of the roadway. Mr. Bailey overcorrected, causing the vehicle to cross over the south side of the roadway striking an earth embankment. The vehicle went airborne and overturned ejecting Mr. Bailey. The vehicle came to a final rest upright in a yard at 979 Canton Road. Mr. Bailey was airlifted to Vanderbilt Hospital by Air Evac for injuries sustained. Trooper Duvall was assisted by Trigg County EMS, Trigg County Sheriff's Department, Trigg County Rescue, and the East Golden Pond Fire Department. The investigation is continuing by Trooper Brian Duvall.
