Murray Woman Charged with Complicity to Commit Murder

(Murray, Ky.) -- On Monday, January 4th, Jayson Workman was indicted by a Calloway County Grand Jury for the murder of Herbert Donald Scandell on December 23rd near Murray, KY. The grand jury also heard Kentucky State Police testimony regarding the involvement of Jayson's wife Kayla Workman. Kayla was an occupant in the vehicle on the evening of Mr. Scandell's death. The same grand jury indicted Kayla for complicity to commit murder. Kayla Workman, 21, was arrested at 10:00 this morning and lodged in the Calloway County Jail. Mrs. Workman's bond was set at $100,000 cash. The investigation is continuing by Detective Brett Miller with the Kentucky State Police.
