December Activity Report From Post 1

(Hickory, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police Post One Activity Report for the month of December is as follows:

Post One Mayfield covers the 11 counties of Ballard, Calloway, Carlisle, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Livingston, Lyon, Marshall, McCracken and Trigg. For 2009, there were 54 people killed in fatal collisions in the Post One area. Of those who died, 21 were not wearing a seatbelt and two were not wearing a motorcycle helmet. In 2008, there were 68 people killed in the Post One area. State wide for 2009, there were 771 people killed compared to 826 in 2008.
