News Release

Three Injured in a Single Vehicle Collision on KY Highway 429

Date of News Release: 01/12/2010

(Springfield, Ky.) -- Trooper Nathan Rhodes is investigating an injury collision that occurred at 10:20 PM, 12 miles north of Springfield on KY Highway 429. 17 year old Samantha Seger, of Springfield, was operating a 2002 Ford southbound on KY Highway 429, when she dropped off the shoulder of the roadway. Ms. Seger overcorrected and ran off the roadway, striking a tree. Ms. Seger was treated and released at Springview Hospital. There were 2 passengers in Ms. Seger's vehicle: 14 year old Lee Ann Abell and 15 year old Emily Seger, both of Springfield. Both passengers were flown to the University of Louisville, where they will be treated and released. No occupants in the vehicle were wearing seatbelts.
