Click It or Ticket Campaign Activity for Post 12, Frankfort

(Post 12 Frankfort) -- The Kentucky State Police Frankfort Post provides police coverage for Anderson, Fayette, Franklin, Scott, Shelby, Spencer and Woodford counties. The Post area participated in the two week national "Click It or Ticket" campaign which was conducted from May 24 to June 6, 2010.

During the campaign the Frankfort Post conducted 27 traffic safety checkpoints in the seven counties and issued a total of 1458 citations. The following is a break down of the citations issued: 25 DUI arrest, 454 speeding citations, 254 seat belt citations, 9 child restraint citations, 41 operating on suspended licenses citations, 123 no insurances citations, 443 other traffic citations, 49 drug arrest, 19 felony arrest and 31 fugitives apprehended.

The Frankfort Post will continue our efforts to remove impaired drivers from the roadways, slow down speeders and increase safety belt usage through vigorous enforcement.
