Cash Seizure During Traffic Stop

(Post 12 Frankfort) -- Trooper Martin stopped Joey Thompson for an equipment violation on I-64 in Shelby County. During the investigation Trooper Martin searched the vehicle locating approximately 80 grams of crack cocaine and powder cocaine. $22,338.64 in cash was also discovered and seized along with Mr. Thompson's 2001 Volvo. The drugs have an approximate street value of $8,000.00.
