Woman Killed When Wheelchair Collide with Truck

Date of News Release: 02/03/2010

(Post 12 Frankfort) -- A fatal collision occurred at East Main Street and Jefferson Street in the limits of Taylorsville, Ky. The Taylorsville Police Department responded and later call Kentucky State Police. Harry D. Mercer was driving a large propane truck and was making a right turn from East Main Street onto Jefferson Street. A motorized wheel chair being driven by Marsha Dennison (age 76) was traveling on East Main Street at the intersection of Jefferson Street when the truck and motorized wheel chair collided. Marsha Dennison was on the motorized wheel chair was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Spencer County Coroner. The collision is under investigation by KSP Post 12 Frankfort.
