Two Arrested On Manslaughter Charges

(Post 12 Frankfort) -- On Friday, January 08, 2010 at 5:30 PM Detectives from Post 12 Frankfort and TFC. Todd Maggard from K-9 Special Operations executed two arrest warrants in Oldham County. The warrants originated from an ongoing investigation involving a home invasion that took place in late 2008 in Shelbyville.

As a result of the home invasion one of the men involved in the burglary was shot and killed by he home owner. On Friday, January 08, 2010 the other two men involved in the crime were taken into custody. Timothy Carpenter, age 23 and Joshua Fast, age 23 were indicted by a Shelby County Grand Jury on burglary charges.

The Shelby County Grand Jury heard further testimony this week on the case an indicted Carpenter and Fast on complicity to Manslaughter in the second degree. They were arrested without incident and lodged in the Shelby County Jail. The investigation is ongoing by Sgt. David Decker Kentucky State Police Post 12 Frankfort.
