Assault Investigation in Laurel County
Date of News Release: 06/02/2010
(London, Ky.) -- On Wednesday June 02, 2010 at approximately 5:20 am the Kentucky State Police, Post 11, London received a report that of male subject at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin, KY with apparent stab wounds.
The male subject was flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington for treatment of his injuries.
At approximately 7:22 am a female subject was transported by ambulance into the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin, KY with a laceration. She was treated and released.
Further investigation led to a residence on London Dock Road in Laurel County where the two individuals reside.
The cause of the victims injuries is under investigation at this time and the victims identities are not being release at this time.
Detective Mark Allen is leading the investigation and was assisted by Detective Mike Bowling, TFC Barry Blair, Trooper Richie Baxter, Detective Sergeant Tom Atkin and Detective Lieutenant John Yates.
