"Click-It or Ticket" Traffic Safety Checkpoint / Laurel County
Date of News Release: 05/22/2010
(London, Ky.) -- The Kentucky Office of Highway Safety and Kentucky State Police, in coordination with local law enforcement agencies, will be conducting a traffic safety checkpoint at the intersection of the Hal Rogers Parkway & Highway 192, in London, Laurel County, on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 from 1 PM to 3 PM.
Motorists will be cited for any moving traffic violations, with an emphasis on seat belt violations, in honor of the annual "Click It or Ticket" campaign that runs from May 24 to June 6. Those motorists who are seat belted will receive a different kind of ticket – a "Click It FOR Tickets" voucher. This voucher allows them to register to win a set of six tickets to the Kentucky Speedway.
Media may set up for live shots and interviews with agency representatives.
