Drug Round-Up in Knox County

(Barbourville, Ky.) -- On 7/16/2010 at 06:00 a.m., Troopers and Detectives from the Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan and Barbourville Police Department conducted a round up of multiple drug dealers in the Knox County area. This stemmed from a lengthy investigation conducted by Detective Kelly Farris of KSP Post 10 and Detective Brian Senters of Barbourville PD, using confidential informants to make the drug buys and then obtaining warrants for the drug dealers arrests.

The subjects arrested were:

• Daniel Hatfield, age 32 of Corbin, KY was charged with two counts of Trafficking a Controlled Substance 1st and Trafficking a Controlled Substance with in 1000 yards of a school. On July 6, 2010 Hatfield pled guilty to Trafficking a Controlled Substance 3rd degree in Whitley County District Court. Three hours later on that same date we made drug buys off of this subject which are now his current charges.
• Randy Burnett, age 36 of Dewitt, KY was charged with two counts of Trafficking a Controlled Substance 2nd degree. During his arrest, ten marijuana plants were found at his residence and he was charged with Cultivating Marijuana over five plants.
• Kayla Parker, age 26 of Corbin, KY was charged with Unlawful possession of Meth Precursor, Unlawful Distribution of Meth Precursor, Criminal Conspiracy to Manufacture Meth
• Matthew Parker, age 31 of Corbin, KY was charged with Unlawful possession of Meth Precursor, Unlawful Distribution of Meth Precursor, Criminal Conspiracy to Manufacture Meth
• William R. Logan, age 40 of East Bernstadt, KY was charged with Unlawful possession of Meth Precursor, Unlawful Distribution of Meth Precursor, Criminal Conspiracy to Manufacture Meth
• Lula Lake, age 58 of Barbourville, KY was charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance 1st degree
• Regina Smith, age 23 of Barbourville, KY was charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance 2nd degree
• Lonnie Barrett of Barbourville, KY was charged with two counts of Trafficking a Controlled Substance 2nd degree
• Tony Roark, age 48 of Barbourville, KY was charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance 2nd degree
• Gordon Bruner, age 48 of Barbourville, KY was charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance 1st degree and Trafficking a Controlled Substance 2nd degree
• Patricia Bruner, age 36 of Barbourville, KY was charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance 1st degree
• Kathy Smith, age 52 of Barbourville, KY was charged with three counts of Trafficking a Controlled Substance 2nd degree
• Denise Jones of Green Road, KY was charged with two counts of Trafficking a Controlled Substance 2nd degree
• Joseph Collett, age 59 of Barbourville, KY charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance 1st degree
• Joseph Hughes, age 30 of Barbourville, KY charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance 1st degree
• Pamela Mason, age 27 of Barbourville, KY charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance 1st degree
• Kevin Sizemore, age 24 of Heidrick, KY charged with two counts of Trafficking a Controlled Substance 2nd degree
• Jessica Isom, age 27 of Heidrick, KY charged with two counts of Trafficking a Controlled Substance 2nd degree
• Curtis Reed, age 48 of Gray, KY was charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance 1st degree
• Kathy Baker, age 43 of Barbourville, KY was charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance 2nd degree and Trafficking a Controlled Substance 3rd degree
• Anthony Davis, age 33 of Girdler, KY was charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance with in 1000 yards of a School and Trafficking Marijuana less than 8 ounces
• Lavola Crawford of Green Road, KY was charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance 2nd degree

Warrants are still active for these subjects that were not located during the round-up:

• Brian Mills of Barbourville, KY for Trafficking Marijuana less than 8 ounces
• Sheila Walker of Corbin, KY for Unlawful possession of Meth Precursor, Unlawful Distribution of Meth Precursor, Criminal Conspiracy to Manufacture Meth
• Becky Gambrel of Flat Lick, KY for Trafficking a Controlled Substance 1st degree
• Tyrone Blalock of Corbin, KY for Trafficking a Controlled Substance 1st degree, Trafficking a Controlled Substance 2nd degree and Trafficking a Controlled Substance 3rd degree

Other arrests are pending at this time for subjects that were not located during the round up. To anonymously report any type of suspected illegal drug activity, citizens can call the KSP toll-free drug tip hotline, 1-800-DOPETIP. The hotline is answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
