One Killed and One Injured in a Two Vehicle Collision on US 119

(Page, Ky.) -- On 7/06/2010 at 12:00 pm, Kentucky State Police Post 10 responded to a two vehicle crash on US 119 at the community of Page, KY. Unit 1, a 2009 Audi, was operated by Garrell Freeman age 58 of Harlan, KY traveling south on US 119. Unit 2, a 2009 Chevrolet truck, was operated by Chester Miracle age 80 of Page, KY traveling northbound on US 119. Unit 1 crossed the centerline into the northbound lane hitting Unit 2 head-on. Both subjects sustained multiple injuries and were flown from the scene to the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Chester Miracle later that same date succumbed to his injuries from the crash.

Assisting at the scene were Bell County EMS and Bell County Rescue Squad. This fatal crash is still under investigation by Trooper Keith Baker of Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan.
