Armed Robbery Investigation in Prestonsburg, Ky

Date of News Release: 10/04/2009

(Pikeville, Ky.) -- Post 9 Pikeville at approximately 1127 P.M. received 911 call from female in Prestonsburg Ky. Female stated while she was getting out of her vehicle, a male subject brandished a weapon and demanded her to get on the ground and took her purse then fled on foot. Troopers U/755 Mullins and U/705 Tackett arrived on scene. They attempted to locate the suspect in the area but were unsuccessful. The case is under investigation by Trooper Mullins U/755.
