Armed Robbery Investigation in Meta, Ky

Date of News Release: 09/08/2009

(Pikeville, Ky.) -- Post 9 Pikeville at approximately 710pm received 911 call from Meta Double Kwik in Meta, Ky. Troopers Smith U/373, Hamilton U/451, Cure U/281 and Sergeant Peppi U/226 responded to and arrived at 723pm. The clerk advised a male subject wearing light colored blue jeans, green hoody, and work boots came into the store with a small pocket knife and demanded cash. The subject left on foot going towards Kimper. Kentucky State Police attempted to locate in the area but were unsuccessful. The case is under investigation by Trooper Smith U/373.
