Fatal Collision on US 23 in Shelby Valley, Ky

Date of News Release: 08/16/2009

(Pikeville, Ky.) -- Sherrae Zizmont, 20 year old female, of 382 Brushy Fork, Jenkins, KY. was killed this evening in a single vehicle collision. Mrs. Zizmont was traveling on US 23 at Shelby Valley, when she lost control of her 2003 Ford truck and overturned. The collision is under investigation by Tpr. J. Gabbard, U/1035 of the Kentucky State Police. Mrs. Zizmont was pronounced dead by Pike County Coroner Russell Roberts. Trp. J. Gabbard was assisted at the scene by Tpr. M. Collins and Tpr. D. Caudill. Also assisting at the scene were DHP Ambulance Service and Shelby Valley Fire Dept.
