Armed Robbery Investigation in Allen, Ky

(Pikeville, Ky.) -Post 9 Pikeville at approximately 0344 received a panic alarm from Allen Double Kwik in Allen, Ky. Trooper Hicks U/498 and Sgt. Peppi U/226 responded to and arrived on the scene at approximately 0354. Once they arrived, the store the clerk advised a male wearing gray sweatshirt, blue jeans, white tennis shoes, gloves and a bandanna covering his face, entered the store armed with a large hunting knife, demanding money from the register. The suspect then left on foot in an unknown direction with approximately 293 dollars in cash.

Prestonsburg Police Department assisted in attempting to located the subject in the area, but were unsuccessful. The case is under investigation by Trooper Hicks U/498.
