Fatal Motorcycle Collision on KY 80 in Floyd County

(Pikeville, Ky.) -- At 2101 hours, Kentucky State Police Post 09 received a call of a single vehicle motorcycle accident on KY 80 in the Garrett Community of Floyd County.

The motorcycle was operated by Amber N. Hall. Amber Hall was traveling west on KY 80 when she lost control of the vehicle and ran off the roadway onto the shoulder of the road. Amber Hall struck the side of the guardrail and was ejected off the motorcycle. Amber Hall was transported to St. Joseph of Martin by Transtar Ambulance and was pronounced dead by ER physician Dr. Ben Browning at 2157 hours. The accident is under investigation by Trooper Brad Austin. Trooper Austin was assisted on scene by Trooper Isaac Whitaker U/344, Sergeant Ronald Peppi U/226, Transtar Ambulance Service, Floyd County Sheriffs Office, and Garrett Fire Department. Next of kin was notified.
