Human Remains Located In Pike County, Ky

(Pikeville, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police Post 9 is investigating the discovery of skeletal human remains in the Ridgeline Road area of Pike County. The remains were discovered in a wooded area by a nearby resident. Investigators worked throughout the day and were assisted at the scene by Forensic Anthropologist, Dr. Emily Craig, of the Kentucky State Medical Examiner's Office. The remains were removed from the scene and are pending positive identification by the Medical Examiner. The investigation is ongoing by Post 9 Detective Kevin Newsome.
