Fatal Collision on Ky. Rt. 1056 Pike County

(Pikeville, Ky.) -- On 04 -07-2009 5:30 p.m. Brandon Ryan Hurley 17 year old, white male of 14078 Hurley Road, Hurley Virginia, died today as a result of injuries he received in a collision at McCarr, Ky. yesterday. Brandon Hurley was a passenger in the 1991 Chevrolet that was operated by Justin Hurley who was eastbound on Ky. Rt. 1056 when he lost control on wet roadway surface. Justin Hurley crossed to the westbound side where his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. Justin Hurley is currently in Williamson Appalachian Regional Hospital being treated for several injuries. Brandon Hurley was transferred to Cabell Huntington Hospital where he died today.

The collision is being investigated by Trp. Jimmy Nolte, Trp. Hoyt Smith and Trp. Chris Phillips all of the Kentucky State Police Post 09 Pikeville, Kentucky.
