News Release

Post Seven 2009 Kentucky State Police Citizens Police Academy

Date of News Release: 09/01/2009

(Richmond, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police, Post 7, is now accepting applications for the 2009 Kentucky State Police Citizens Police Academy. The 11-week academy is slated to begin on October 13th and conclude December 22nd. Students will meet Tuesdays from 6:00 to 8:30 where they will learn about the many facets of the Kentucky State Police including patrol, criminal investigations, and drug investigations.

The Academy's first week will be held at the Madison County EMS Building at 556 S. Keeneland Drive in Richmond. Applications can be obtained by contacting the Kentucky State Police, Post 7 at 859-623-2404. Applications will be accepted until Monday, October 12th, 2009. Applications can also be obtained by visiting : http://www.kentuckystatepolice.org/posts/post7.htm. Anyone 18 years of age living within the Kentucky State Police, Post 7 District is welcome to apply. The KSP Post 7 District consists of the following counties: Boyle, Clark, Estill, Garrard, Jackson, Jessamine, Lee, Lincoln, Madison, Mercer, and Owsley counties. There is no cost to attend. All applicants will be subject to a background check.
