News Release

Marijuana Eradication In Clark County

Date of News Release: 08/12/2009

(Winchester, Ky.) -- On 8-7-2009 at 5:45 p.m., Troopers of the Kentucky State Police Post 7, Richmond located, cut, and destroyed 1672 marijuana plants with a street value in excess of 3.3 million dollars. The marijuana was located on the property of the J.K. Smith Power Station off KY 89 in Clark County. Troopers were assisted by the Kentucky State Police Aircraft Section. There are no suspects. The investigation by Trooper Doug Cole is ongoing.
