Madison County Two-Vehicle Collision with Injuries

(Richmond, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police Post 7 Richmond is currently investigating a two-vehicle collision which occurred on US 25 South of Richmond. Bruce Summers, age 19 of Richmond was traveling South on US 25, when according to a witness, his vehicle crossed into the Northbound lane of travel striking a vehicle being operated by Anthony Farthing, age 25 of Berea. Summers was flown to UK Medical Center with life threatening injuries. Farthing and his passenger, Teddy Hacker, age 23 of Richmond, were both transported to Pattie A. Clay Hospital in Richmond for treatment. Their injuries are minor. The investigating officer believes Summers may have fallen asleep behind the wheel.
