Herrington Lake Death Investigation and Arrest

(Richmond, Ky.) -- Detectives of the Kentucky State Police Post 7 Richmond, are currently conducting an investigation into the death of a Harrodsburg woman which occurred on Herrington Lake in Boyle County. On 05/28/2009, at 4:32 p.m. KSP troopers responded to the report of a woman who had been struck by a boat on the lake. Upon arrival at the scene, the responding officers determined that the victim received fatal injuries, and was later declared dead at the scene by the Boyle County Coroner, Dr. James Ramey. The initial investigation determined that Mr. Steven Hall, age 46, and his wife Isabel Hall, age 49, were spending the day boating on Herrington Lake. At some point, the pontoon boat being operated by Steven Hall struck his wife causing fatal injuries. After further investigation by KSP detectives, and interviews conducted with witnesses, Steven Hall was charged with the murder of his wife, Isabel Hall. The couple resides in Harrodsburg. The body of Mrs. Hall was transported to the Kentucky State Medical Examiner's Office in Frankfort, where an autopsy will be conducted. Steven Hall was lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center. The investigation by Detective Chris Short and Detective Bill Collins continues. Next-of-kin have been notified. The Boyle County Water Rescue Team and Boyle County EMS also responded to the scene.
