Date of News Release: 12/29/2008

(Richmond, KY) - The Kentucky State Police Post 7, Richmond, is currently investigating a shoplifting that turned into an assault and robbery at the Dollar Value Plus store on Battlefield Memorial Highway in the Kingston community of Madison County. The incident occurred on 12/20/2008 at 7:35 p.m. Through investigation, it was learned that the suspect entered the store with a female accomplice, and was observed concealing several items inside his clothing. A clerk working inside confronted the suspect about the concealed items, and asked him to pay for them or put them back. The suspect removed the items and left the store, however it is believed that he did not return all the items. The clerk then went outside in an attempt to get a license plate number from the suspect's vehicle. The suspect became angry, shoved the clerk and struck her in the face. The suspect then left with the female in a black Chevrolet full size, step-side pickup truck with the numbers "3" and "6" in the plate number. At the present time, Trooper Toney Allen has been unsuccessful in attempts to identify the two suspects in the attached still images, which were captured from surveillance/security cameras inside and outside the establishment. The male suspect looked directly into the camera and was overheard calling his female accomplice "Heidi". If anyone recognizes these suspects or the vehicle involved, they are asked to contact the Kentucky State Police Post 7, Richmond, at 1-800-222-5555 (in the state of Kentucky only, does not work out of state) or (859) 623-2404.
