One Killed in a Single Vehicle Collision on KY36

(Dry Ridge, Ky.) -- On Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at approximately 1530 hours, Kentucky State Police, Harrison County Sheriff's Office, and the Harrison County Fire Department responded to a single vehicle crash on KY36 in Harrison County. Sergio Ortega Talavera, 22 years of age, of Cynthiana, was traveling westbound on KY36 approaching Lafferty Pike. Mr. Talavera was operating a 1996 GMC Pickup when he drove off the right shoulder of the roadway and struck a telephone pole. Mr. Talavera was pronounced dead at the scene by the Harrison County Coroner, Tom Ware at 1612 hours.
