Post Six 2009 Kentucky State Police Citizens Police Academy

Date of News Release: 09/01/2009

(Dry Ridge, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police, Post 6, is now accepting applications for the 2009 Kentucky State Police Citizens Police Academy. The 11-week academy is slated to begin on September 29th and will conclude on December 1, 2009. Students will meet on Tuesdays from 6:00 to 8:30 PM where they will learn about the many facets of the Kentucky State Police which include; patrol, criminal investigations, and drug investigations. Students will also get to take part in simulated traffic stops and evidence collection.

The academy will be held at the Williamstown Municipal Building, 400 North Main Street in Williamstown. Applications can be obtained by contacting the Kentucky State Police, Post 6 at 859-428-1212. Applications will be accepted until Monday, September 21, 2009. Applications may also be obtained at: http://www.kentuckystatepolice.org/posts/post6.htm. Anyone 18 years of age living within the Kentucky State Police, Post 6 district (Boone, Kenton, Campbell, Grant, Pendleton, Bracken, Robertson, Nicholas, Bourbon, and Harrison Counties), are welcome to apply. There is no cost to attend. All applicants will be subject to a background check.
