State Police Charge Bass Webb With Harrison County Murder

(Dry Ridge, Ky.) -- Detectives from the Kentucky State Police, Post 6, Dry Ridge, have charged Bass Webb, age 30, of Means, KY with the murder of Bryia Runiewicz. Mr. Webb was accused of attempting to run over two Bourbon County Deputy Jailers with a vehicle at the Bourbon County Jail on the morning of July 31st. After Mr. Webb was arrested following the incident at the jail, Ms. Runiewicz was discovered at her home in Cynthiana, the victim of an apparent murder. Mr. Webb was lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center, charged with the offenses pertaining to the incident at the Bourbon County Jail. The murder of Mr. Runiewicz has been under investigation by State Police detectives. Murder is a capital offense and prosecutors are evaluating the case, and have not made a decision on whether or not they will seek the death penalty. Mr. Webb remains lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center.
