Fatal Accident in Grant County

(Dry Ridge, Ky.) -- On Sunday, August 16, 2009, at approximately 0845 hours, Kentucky State Police, Corinth Fire Department, along with Emergency Responders (Trans Care) responded to a to an injury accident at the residence of 1765 Lawrenceville Road in Corinth. Mr. Robin M. James, 31 years of age, of the above residence, struck Ms. Angela R. Ripley, 41 years of age, also from the same address. Mr. James was operating a 1997 Ford Ranger at the residence when he failed to notice Ms. Ripley in his path of travel. Ms. Ripley was transported via helicopter to UK Hospital where she was later pronounced deceased. The accident remains under investigation by Trooper Eric Bowman and Detective Anthony Gatson.
