Home Invasion / Burglary in Grant County

(Dry Ridge, Ky.) -- On Thursday, July 23, 2009, at approx 2330 hours, the Kentucky State Police, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, Grant County Sheriff's Office, Williamstown and Dry Ridge Police Department responded to the residence at 15 Ellen Kay Drive in Dry Ridge regarding a possible home invasion / burglary. At approximately 2320 hours, Kentucky State Police received a call from a female inside the residence stating that two white males had forced their way into the residence by disguising themselves as policeman. The two unknown subjects demanded the parties inside the residence to lie on the ground and bound their with plastic zip ties. One subject, white male, approximately 6'0" in height was wearing a black sweatshirt indicating "Police" in white letters. The second subject was wearing a black shirt indicating "OEM" lettering in white. Both subjects were armed with handguns and left the scene with a Red / Maroon, 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer, Kentucky Plates: 576CCA that was stolen from the residence. The subjects also left with a handgun and an undisclosed amount of money, also taken from the residence.
