Death Investigation in Bracken County
Date of News Release: 07/21/09
(Dry Ridge, Ky.) -- At approximately 1418 hours, on July 19, 2009, Kentucky State Police Post 6 was notified that the Bracken County EMS had transported a 2 year old female to Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville, KY. The child was pronounced dead by Emergency Room Doctors at 1400 hours from injuries sustained after being struck by a pickup truck. The operator, Mr. William McCarty, 59 years of age, from Foster struck the child while in the process of backing the vehicle. The case remains under investigation by Trooper Jeremy Moore.
