Fatal Collision on KY491 in Grant County

Date of News Release: 05/01/09

(Dry Ridge, Ky.) -- On May 1, 2009 at approximately 5:20 P.M., officers from the Kentucky State Police, Grant County Sheriff's Office, Crittenden Fire Department, and Transcare EMS responded to an injury accident involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle on KY491, Gardnersville Road in Crittenden, KY. The victim, Timothy M. Daniels of Williamstown, KY, was traveling east on Gardnersville Road when he lost control of his motorcycle and crossed into the lane of William Barnhill who was operating a 1998 Chevrolet and traveling west on Gardnersville Road. Mr. Daniels struck the front end of Mr. Barnhill's vehicle. Timothy Daniels was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Grant County Coroner, MaryLee Willoby. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor and the accident remains under investigation by Trooper Chad Mills.
