News Release

Kentucky State Police Arrest Henry County Deputy Jailer

Date of News Release: 09/24/2009

(Campbellsburg, Ky.) -- On Thursday, September 23, 2009 at approximately 6:40 p.m. the Kentucky State Police arrested Anthony L. McAlister age 47 from New Castle, Kentucky. Mr. McAlister who is the Deputy Jailer for Henry County, and a former Eminence Police officer during the mid 1980's, was charged with two counts of Sodomy, 1st Degree of a victim under 12 years of age, two counts of Sodomy 2nd Degree, four counts of Sodomy 3rd Degree, and one count of Sexual Abuse 1st Degree of a victim under 12 years of age. The charges are related to incidents that span a time period from 1987 to 1995, and is the result of an ongoing case that was initiated by the Henry County Sheriff's Department in May of 2009.

The case remains open and under investigation by Detective Todd Harwood with the Kentucky State Police.
