Fatal Collision on KY 36 east of Carrollton, Ky

(Campbellsburg, Ky.) -- On Saturday, September 5, 2009 at approximately 2:10 a.m. the Kentucky State Police responded to a single vehicle fatal collision on KY 36 east of Carrollton.

A Dodge passenger car, driven by Franklin Jordon Sr, age 62 from Wheatley was traveling east on KY 36, when the operator lost control of the vehicle and went off the left side of the roadway. The vehicle then travelled approximately 30 feet and struck a tree.

Franklin Jordon Sr, was pronounced deceased at 3:11 a.m. by the Carroll County Coroner.

The collision is currently under investigation by Trooper Justin Sams with the Kentucky State Police. Assisting at the scene was the Carroll County Sheriff's Department, Carroll County EMS, and Carroll County Fire Department.
