News Release

Carroll County Man Arrested for Criminal Abuse

Date of News Release: 07/06/2009

(Campbellsburg, Ky.) -- On July 2, 2009, the Kentucky State Police-Post 5, Campbellsburg received a report of a possible criminal abuse complaint at Norton-Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville. The hospital reported that a 7 week old child was brought into their facility on June 27, 2009 and after extensive testing it was determined that the child was suffering from a skull fracture and several subdural hematomas.

After receiving information and interviewing family members; the child's father, Steven Finkel, age 21 from Carrollton, KY was arrested and charged with Criminal Abuse 1st degree and lodged at the Carroll County Regional Detention Center in Carrollton.

The case remains under investigation.
