Fatal ATV Collision in Henry County

Date of News Release: 03/24/2009

(Campbellsburg, Ky.) - On 03/23/2009 at 5:41 p.m., Kentucky State Police Post 5 received a 911 call of an ATV accident on Six Mile Creek Road approximately 2 miles from Woods Pike Road in Pleasureville, Henry County Kentucky. Kentucky State Police as well as fire and EMS responded to the scene and found that an ATV had lost control while trying to make a left turn and impacted a tree. The driver, Gabrielle S Couch, 19 year old white male from Pleasureville Kentucky was flown to the UK Medical Center in Lexington for his injuries. Mr Couch was pronounced deceased at 10:35p.m. at the UK Medical Center. The passenger on the ATV, 13 year old juvenile male was taken to Jewish Hospital in Shelbyville for his injuries. Investigation is being conducted by Trooper Charles Kelton. Also assisting on scene was Henry County EMS, Kentucky River Fire Department, Pleasureville Fire Department, and Life-Net. Next of kin has been notified.
