Trimble County Murder Investigation
Date of News Release: 01/16/2009
(Campbellsburg, KY) - On January 15th, 2009, KSP Detective Todd Harwood developed information on the location of the body of Steve "Catfish" Jones, age 56, from Florida. Mr. Jones was located in a remote location in Trimble County, Kentucky. Clester E. "Cletus" Mullins has been charged with Jones' murder and with tampering with physical evidence. Mr. Jones was allegedly murdered in the late night hours of December 6th, 2008. Jones autopsy is being conducted at the Medical Examiners Office in Louisville, KY. Cause of death is not being released, at this time. Mr. Mullins is also expected to be charged with an armed robbery that occurred on or around December 28th, 2008, on a taxi driver in Lexington, Kentucky. These two cases are not related. Mr. Mullins is being lodged at the Carroll County Detention Center in Carrollton, Ky. Bond has not yet been set.
