One Injured in a DUI Motorcycle Collision
Date of News Release: 11/08/2009
(Elizabethtown, Ky.) -- On November 7, 2009, at 4:00 pm EST, the Elizabethtown Post of the Kentucky State Police was called to investigate a single-vehicle injury accident on Larue Lane, approximately 3 miles east of Elizabethtown. Trooper R. Johnson responded. Trooper Johnson reported that a 2000 Ultra motorcycle, operated by Jimmy Lamb (a 47-year-old white male from Elizabethtown, Ky), was traveling west on Larue Lane as it crested a hill and entered a left turn. Upon entering the turn, Mr. Lamb lost control of the motorcycle and slid off of the roadway, striking a barbed wire fence before coming to final rest. Mr. Lamb suffered moderate injury head and neck injuries, and was transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital by private means. Both speed and alcohol are considered to be contributing factors in the collision.
