Two Injured in a Two-Vehicle Collision on KY44

(Elizabethtown, Ky.) -- On October 12, 2009, at 2:55 p.m. Eastern time, Detective Terry Whittaker investigated a two-vehicle collision on KY44, in the city limits of Mt. Washington. Detective Whittaker reported that a 1990 Ford Mustang, operated by Rhonda O. Robinson (a 44-year-old white female from Taylorsville, Ky), was traveling eastbound on KY44, when Ms. Robinson made a left turn into the path of a westbound 1987 Chevrolet truck, operated by Donald L Dunn (a 47-year-old white male from Taylorsville, Ky). Detective Whittaker reported that the vehicles struck in a "head-on" manner in the westbound lane, which resulted in Mr. Dunn being ejected from his vehicle. Mr. Dunn suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported from the scene to the University of Louisville Hospital by Bullitt County EMS. Rhonda Robinson was extricated from her vehicle by the Mt. Washington Fire Department and was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital by Air Methods. Ms. Robinson's injuries were considered to be serious, but non-life-threatening.
