Fatal Accident on Quarry Road in Upton, Ky

Date of News Release: 09/05/2009

(Elizabethtown, Ky.) -- At 1346 hours Wanda Murray was behind her residence at 432 Quarry Road in Upton, KY. Mrs. Murray attempted to cross the railroad tracks and stepped in front of an oncoming train. The engineer attempted to stop the train but was unsuccessful even when applying the emergency stop equipment. Mrs. Murray was pronounced deceased by the Hardin County Coroner and her family has been notified. Alcohol was not believed to be a factor in this accident.
